What Scurry does

Scurry is a Chrome extension and web service that saves articles from the web and delivers them to your Kindle as ePub files. We collect only what is necessary to deliver the service.

What we collect

  • Account email address — used to create and manage your account.
  • Kindle email address — used solely to deliver your ePubs to your device.
  • Send history — we log each delivery (bundle title, article count, timestamp) so you can view your history in the dashboard.

What we do not collect

Article content is never stored on our servers. When you send articles to Kindle, the content passes through our server only long enough to generate the ePub and send the email — it is not written to any database.

Third-party services

  • Supabase — handles authentication and stores your account profile and send history. Supabase Privacy Policy
  • Resend — used to send the ePub email to your Kindle address. Resend Privacy Policy
  • Amazon Kindle — the destination for your documents. Your Kindle email is used as a delivery address.

Chrome extension permissions

The Scurry extension uses the following permissions:

  • activeTab — reads the content of the current tab when you click “Add article.”
  • storage — saves your article queue and authentication session locally on your device.
  • Access to all sites — a content script runs on all pages to extract article text using Mozilla's Readability library, and to receive your authentication session from the Scurry website after sign-in. No data from visited pages is collected or transmitted unless you explicitly click “Add article.”

Data retention

Your account data is retained until you request deletion. To delete your account and all associated data, email support@goscurry.app.
